With the EinScan Rigil, SHINING 3D has introduced a new 3D scanner aimed specifically at professional users in the automotive aftermarket and related industrial sectors. The system combines hybrid light technology with integrated data processing and wireless connectivity. The aim is to provide a flexible yet high-precision solution for capturing complex geometries and surface structures – even under variable lighting conditions and in mobile use.
The scanner supports three scanning modes that can be adapted to different requirements. Two laser modes – consisting of 19 + 19 crossed and 7 parallel blue laser lines – cover both fast volume capture and detail-oriented scans. This is complemented by an infrared mode based on VCSEL technology, which enables markerless scanning of large objects and is particularly suitable for applications without preparation time. The modes can be combined dynamically, allowing optimization of speed and depth of detail.
In standalone mode, the scanner performs all computing tasks internally. It is equipped with an 8-core processor, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and a 6.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen. A connection to external computers is possible both wirelessly via Wi-Fi 6 and wired. Outdoor use is supported by high light immunity and two replaceable batteries. The EXScan Rigil software is used for further digital processing. This not only allows post-processing and conversion of the scan data, but also offers functions for creating closed surface models. According to the manufacturer, the system is suitable for a wide range of materials – including dark, reflective or metallic surfaces – without the use of scanning spray.
With a volumetric accuracy of up to 0.04 + 0.06 mm/m and a resolution of up to 0.05 mm, the EinScan Rigil is positioned as a complete mobile solution for high-precision 3D scanning under variable conditions.
