The Chinese start-up ElecFreaks has launched an Indiegogo campaign for their portable 3D printer Freaks3D.
Weighing only 2.945 kg and being able to operate on battery, the portable device features an interchangeable handle for personalisation. Objects with a size of up to 13 x 15 x 10 cm can be printed with 0.1 mm layer solution. It’s steel hotend can process PLA as well as TPU filament in 1.75 mm diameter. The build plate is not heated and according to ElecFreaks the printer does not require pre-heating.
Equipped with SD card slot and USB connection, the 3D printer features an LCD display with an intuitive one-button control.

Prices on Indiegogo start at $299 for the Kit and $ 399 for the already assembled version of Freaks3D. Currently, the campaign is funded with 511% by 345 backers pledging a total of $ 102,243.
