Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Elegoo presented its new Jupiter 2 resin 3D printer at the RAPID + TCT trade fair in Detroit. The device is aimed at both ambitious hobbyists and professional users. The market launch is planned for the third quarter of 2025.
The new model is technically based on the first Jupiter, but offers significant enhancements. These include an increased build volume of 302.4 × 161.98 × 300 mm, which also enables larger projects. A 14-inch LCD with 16K resolution ensures a high level of detail. With an XY precision of 20×26 micrometers, this is the highest resolution in an Elegoo printer to date. The light source is fully encapsulated in the housing to ensure uniform exposure.
Elegoo has also worked on usability. Automatic multi-point leveling simplifies the calibration of the print bed. The modular design allows the LCD to be replaced in less than ten minutes. Another new feature is the intelligent resin management system: up to two kilograms of resin can be automatically refilled and recycled via a removable unit. A heated tank keeps the material at a constant, ideal processing temperature, which should have a positive effect on print quality.
In addition, an integrated alarm system monitors the temperature, while a camera allows remote monitoring in real time. The system is controlled via Elegoo’s in-house slicer SatelLite.
