The European software company ENCY Software has released version 1.0.5 of its CAD/CAM/OLP solutions. The new version brings numerous improvements, particularly in the field of additive manufacturing. The aim of the update is to optimize process control, reduce material waste and increase efficiency.
A key feature is the improved feed control in corners in additive manufacturing processes. More targeted control of extrusion and material application rates not only minimizes material losses, but also reduces reworking. This leads to more precise production and shortens production times.
In addition to the feed control, there are further improvements in various areas of the software. The tooltips for parameter groups such as approach/retract and chamfering have been revised to make user guidance easier. New visualizations for robot applications have also been introduced, including the display of workpieces on the sixth axis during painting operations. A new function makes it possible to remove holes from 3D models, which is particularly useful for machine programming.
In addition, algorithms for calculating toolpaths have been improved, especially for 5D roughing operations. New parameters for tool protrusions in reports and the option to manually sort machining sequences have been added. The project management menu in ENCY Tuner has also been revised.
In addition to these enhancements, the update also fixes a number of known bugs to further improve the stability and user-friendliness of the software.
The 1.0.5 update is available to all users with an active support contract (SMC). Further information can be found on the ENCY Software website.
