Contract manufacturer Endeavor 3D receives International Traffic in Arms Registration (ITAR) status for metals and polymers additive manufacturing services. The recent registration, along with ISO 9001:2015 certification, enables Endeavor 3D to expand its commercial business in aerospace, energy, defence and supply chain manufacturing.
ITAR is a set of US government regulations that controls the import, export and manufacture of defence products and services. The administrator of these regulations is the US Department of State. The goal of ITAR is to protect national security and support US foreign policy interests. For Endeavor 3D, this means that technical data and manufacturing processes for relevant defence products must be securely handled and controlled.
“Endeavor 3D has strengthened its technology capabilities and operational systems to better support the US Defense Industrial Base,” says Phil Arnold, Endeavor 3D Chief Executive Officer. “The ITAR is an important milestone that bolsters our commitment to American manufacturing and innovation. We believe that our portfolio of advanced polymer and metal additive manufacturing services compliment major initiatives in defense, energy, and supply chain manufacturing.”
Endeavor 3D has state-of-the-art additive manufacturing and quality control technologies at its disposal. As a partner in the HP Digital Manufacturing Network, the company has undergone an intensive accreditation process and has been approved as a volume manufacturing partner for both metal and polymer 3D printing. This partnership, along with ITAR certification, strengthens Endeavor 3D’s position as a key player in the US defence industry and beyond.
