The collaboration between EOS, a leading provider of industrial 3D printing solutions, and AM Solutions – 3D post processing technology, a specialist in post-processing technologies, is beginning to yield results. The two companies aim to optimize the process chain for SLS printing and facilitate the transition to series production. A central focus of the partnership is the development of new machine solutions to automate post-processing steps and improve the cost-efficiency of manufacturing.
Since the partnership began last year, the two companies have worked intensively on two innovative machine concepts designed specifically for the new EOS P3 NEXT polymer printer.
“We have worked closely over the past year and made significant progress,” said David Soldan, Head of AM Solutions – 3D post processing technology. He referred to the two machine concepts currently being developed, primarily for the EOS P3 NEXT polymer printer but adaptable to other applications.
In addition, a combined sieving and mixing machine is being developed. This machine processes used and fresh powder in precisely adjustable mixing ratios, ensuring consistently high powder quality.
“The collaboration with EOS has been extremely constructive and cooperative. In our view, these two machine solutions will prove to be true game-changers,” added Soldan.
Fabian Krauß, Head of Product Management Polymer Solutions at EOS, commented, “AM Solutions’ technology is the perfect complement to the EOS P3 NEXT. Through this partnership, our customers receive an end-to-end production solution that optimizes their workflow and allows them to scale at their own pace.”
Both machine concepts and the new EOS P3 NEXT will debut at Formnext 2024. AM Solutions will present its developments at Hall 11.1, Stand E41, while EOS will showcase the associated printer solution at the adjacent Stand D41. The partnership demonstrates how integrated solutions can make additive manufacturing more efficient.
