Exentis and Sintokogio expand cooperation in industrial 3D printing

Exentis Group AG and the Japanese technology group Sintokogio are intensifying their cooperation in the field of additive manufacturing. Following increasing demand in Japan, the Exentis 3D technology platform will in future be used not only for ceramic but also for metal applications. This should enable large-scale industrial production in other material classes.

Sintokogio has been the exclusive license and distribution partner of Exentis in Japan for more than two years and operates its own showroom for Exentis technology there. In addition to showcasing its manufacturing capabilities, the company also offers contract manufacturing services. The high market demand has led Sintokogio to consider expanding its manufacturing capacity. To this end, the company is in talks to purchase additional production systems from Exentis.

The Exentis 3D technology platform is based on a cold printing process that does not require high temperatures and therefore conserves both materials and resources. This approach enables post-processing-free production, which is particularly suitable for large series. Japanese customers benefit from the scalability of the technology and the ability to produce components with high precision and material efficiency.

According to Gürsel Demircali, Chief Commercial Officer of Exentis Group AG, the partnership with Sintokogio has developed positively. In particular, the combination of high production capacity and flexible adaptation to various applications is a decisive advantage for customers. The addition of metal applications is intended to further expand the offering and drive growth in Japan.

Exentis’ industrial additive manufacturing can be used in various areas, including industrial and cleanroom applications. Customers can choose between in-house production on a license basis or external contract manufacturing by Exentis.
