Exentis delivers third 3D production system to Fraunhofer for sustainable energy solutions

Exentis Group AG has delivered another Exentis 3D production system to the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. With this step, Exentis is expanding its partnership with one of Germany’s leading research institutions in the field of application-oriented research. The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, based in Munich, operates 76 institutes and research facilities and employs around 32,000 people.

The newly delivered Exentis 3D production system is the third of its kind to be distributed to various institutes of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. This latest generation system is used specifically for the production of applications in the field of “New Energy”. By using the Exentis 3D technology platform, Fraunhofer can now carry out large-scale industrial production that offers a high degree of flexibility and efficiency.

Dr. Gereon Heinemann, Chief Executive Officer of Exentis Group AG: “Especially in the growth market of sustainable energy generation and storage, there are countless potential applications for the Exentis 3D technology platform, with a free choice of materials and maximum flexibility in the energy- and material-efficient production process. We are extremely pleased that the renowned Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is now increasingly relying on our technology and will help to further advance its use on a large industrial scale for the production of millions of innovative industrial components and establish it as a new industry standard in the market.”

The Exentis 3D technology platform is characterized by its ability to produce complex components efficiently and cost-effectively. This is particularly important for the development and manufacture of components used in the renewable energy sector. By collaborating with Fraunhofer, Exentis can further optimize its technology and adapt it to the specific requirements of industrial applications.

The implementation of the Exentis 3D production system at Fraunhofer underlines the importance of advanced 3D printing technologies for industrial manufacturing. Both institutions are thus taking an important step towards promoting innovative solutions in the field of sustainable energy and supporting industrial digitalization.
