Austrian 3D printer filament manufacturer Extrudr has added a new biodegradable material to their portfolio.
Green TEC is a new development of their bio compounds series and is made of 100% renewable and naturally pure raw materials. While PLA is biodegradable only under certain conditions or in bioreactors, the bio-organic composition of Green TEC can be used for composting.
According to Extrudr the material’s properties exceed in regards to shrinking and warping compared to other filaments, and it is therefore suitable for complicated and large objects. It can be used without a heated print bed.
1kg spools of Green TEC filament are available in both diameters through extrudr’s website for € 56 per spool.
