Formism at MakerWorld: 3D-printed shoes for Bambu Lab printers

At the end of 2025, Formism launched a new footwear line on MakerWorld. Behind Formism is SCRY, a company that specifically experiments with unconventional concepts and shapes in shoe design. Formism developed the models in collaboration with Bambu Lab, specifically targeting production on desktop FFF 3D printers.

The project was launched a few days before the turn of the year. A crowdfunding campaign followed on January 12, 2026, directly on MakerWorld. The original funding target was $1,000. At the time of publication, the total had already reached around $9,700, more than nine times the target. The campaign is scheduled to run until mid-February 2026.

Three digital models are currently available: Persona Heel Shoes, Persona Unisex Shoes, and Persona Sneakers. Each design costs $49 as a digital model. Formism also offers bundles. The Complete Package includes all three models for private use and costs $119. The ACE Package combines the complete digital package with the option to receive a selected model as a physical print from Bambu Lab. The price for this is $459. There is also a commercial license option for commercial use of all three designs.

Formism describes the packages as a print-at-home offer. According to the company, this allows any number of pairs to be produced. In addition, the choice of materials remains open, for example in terms of color, hardness, and flexibility. Formism positions itself as a studio for digital production assets with a focus on footwear, fashion, and lifestyle, emphasizing precision, functionality, and design.

SCRY refers to its own work with advanced 3D printing technologies and treats footwear as a research subject. The company cites the digital embryo concept as a key result and the basis for digital design and manufacturing in the footwear industry.
