In 2025, the Formnext trade fair will once again address key developments in additive manufacturing with a technically diverse stage program. The multi-stage concept – consisting of the Industry Stage, Application Stage and Technology Stage – enables a differentiation of content that is geared towards the needs of trade visitors and industry players.

The Application Stage focuses on application-oriented contributions. These range from biomedical implants to functional components for the aerospace industry. The latter segment in particular is increasingly becoming a driver for the further development of generative processes, as they can reduce weight, material usage and assembly times. New applications for 3D printing in the jewelry industry and in mechanical and plant engineering will also be presented.

“The Multistage program at Formnext is an integral part of the leading AM trade fair in Frankfurt. It ensures that knowledge about additive manufacturing spreads even further, which ultimately also creates the increased use of generative processes and new applications,” explains Christoph Stüker, Vice President Formnext, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

The Industry Stage is dedicated to overarching issues such as the scalability of additive processes, qualification requirements and the integration of artificial intelligence. The role of AI ranges from automated component optimization to data-based safety mechanisms within the AM process chain.

“The presentations offer a first-class platform for knowledge transfer, positioning as an industry expert and valuable networking and business opportunities,” explains Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

The Technology Stage focuses on specific product innovations and process solutions along the additive value chain. Here, exhibiting companies in particular will have the opportunity to present developments in the areas of material development, software integration and post-processing.

The Call for Speakers for Formnext 2025 is already open and runs until the end of June. The trade fair will take place from November 18 to 21 in Frankfurt am Main.
