Formnext is showing stable development in 2025 and is proving to be an important meeting place for the additive manufacturing industry. Despite economic and geopolitical challenges, 533 companies from 34 countries had already registered for the event by the beginning of March. The trade fair, which takes place in Frankfurt from November 18 to 21, thus remains a central platform for the exchange of information on the latest technologies, materials and applications in the field of additive manufacturing.
“Formnext thus underlines that it is indispensable for the AM industry even in very challenging times,” says Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext at the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
“The diversity of our existing and new exhibitors is proof that additive manufacturing offers excellent business opportunities for companies along the entire process chain,” adds Petra Haarburger, President, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
The trade fair is characterized by a high level of internationality, with 65 percent of exhibitors coming from abroad. Spain, this year’s partner country, as well as China, the USA, Italy, France and the UK are among the most important countries of origin. Participant satisfaction is high: according to a survey, 88% of exhibitors and 96% of visitors stated that they were satisfied or very satisfied with their participation in Formnext 2024. It is also striking that 38 percent of trade visitors attend Formnext exclusively as the central trade fair for additive manufacturing.
Despite reports of consolidation in the AM industry, the growing number of new exhibitors shows that innovation and market dynamics remain strong. Companies from 15 countries have already registered, including the USA, South Korea, Romania and Turkey. The new exhibitors cover a broad spectrum, from AM systems and slicing software to special materials and surface processing.
“This range also shows that the world of additive manufacturing is constantly offering companies new applications and business opportunities, which they can then further develop by participating in Formnext,” says Christoph Stüker, Vice President Formnext at organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
With an extensive exhibitor portfolio and a large number of technological innovations, Formnext will remain a central platform for industrial additive manufacturing in 2025. Companies interested in participating as exhibitors can register via the official website.
