Formnext 2025 continues its award concept and once again honors technological and design developments in additive manufacturing. The focus is on six competition categories, ranging from industrial applicability and sustainability to the promotion of young talent. This year, the trade fair is once again relying on a broad-based concept to showcase innovative contributions in the AM industry.
The award ceremony, which will take place during the trade fair on November 20, 2025 in Frankfurt, will be accompanied by an international jury. Made up of experts from research, industry and design, it will evaluate entries from various perspectives. The categories include applications with special product benefits, sustainable concepts along the life cycle and excellent design approaches. There are also prizes for young talents and start-ups whose business models are geared towards the industrial use of additive manufacturing.
“The AM industry always needs new and forward-looking ideas and drivers of innovation to keep moving forward. We therefore not only want to give outstanding individuals, companies and organizations a stage, but also network them further and bring them into contact with potential customers, partners and investors,” explains Christoph Stüker, Vice President Formnext at the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
“The success of the launch of the Formnext Awards last year confirmed the significant benefits that the concept also brings for the participants and the winners of the individual award categories,” explains Petra Haarburger, President of the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “They gain access to all relevant international experts in one place, benefit from targeted networking and space for in-depth discussions and strategic partnerships – and at the same time gain visibility among the most important decision-makers in the industry and beyond. The Formnext award stage combines expertise, relevance and reach.”
The projects and products submitted by the finalists will be presented as part of a special show. In addition, public voting, both on site and online, will enable additional participation by the trade audience. The submission deadline for the Start-up Award is July 31, 2025, and August 31 for the other categories. Further information and conditions of participation are available at formnext.com/awards.
