Despite the subdued economic situation in Germany and global challenges, Formnext will continue its success story in 2024: by the end of September, 820 companies (61% of them from abroad) had registered for the world’s leading trade fair for additive manufacturing and the next generation of industrial production, once again making Frankfurt the most important international hotspot for the AM world from November 19-22, 2024.
“The high number of registrations for Formnext reflects the relevance of additive manufacturing for the entire industry,” says Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext at the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “After all, AM is a technology that makes it possible to meet current challenges and tap into new economic potential. At the same time, Formnext also reflects the dynamism of the global AM industry, which paves the way for the industrial future with numerous innovations and applications every year.”
Additive manufacturing has long been regarded as a key factor in making production processes more flexible and efficient. This year’s trade fair places a special focus on the integration of AM into existing production processes in order to make the technology more efficient and economical to use. The focus will be on new applications and advanced technologies, which will be presented by the world’s leading manufacturers at the trade fair. Companies from the USA, China, Great Britain and Germany, among others, will be presenting their latest innovations.
An important part of the Formnext 2024 supporting program are the specialist presentations that deal with current trends such as artificial intelligence in additive manufacturing, robotics and automation. The growing importance of 3D printing in medical and dental technology will also be addressed. Design for AM and the surface treatment of printed components will also be discussed in special seminars.
Formnext thus remains not only a trade fair for technological innovations, but also a central location for professional exchange and the further development of the industry. Thanks to the close integration of research, industry and practice, the event offers deep insights into the future of industrial manufacturing with additive processes.
