Swedish 3D printing specialist Freemelt Holding AB approved two new incentive programs for employees and the board of directors at an extraordinary general meeting on October 8, 2025. Both programs are intended to ensure the long-term retention of key personnel and to support the company’s technological advancement in the field of metal-based 3D printing. All resolutions were passed unanimously.
At the center is the program “Incitamentsprogram E 2025/2028,” which provides up to 9,945,529 option rights for selected employees. If fully exercised, the company’s share capital could increase by up to 497,276.45 Swedish kronor. According to the company, the options are designed to enable participation in future success and to particularly promote research and development in electron beam melting technology. Freemelt develops open platforms for industrial 3D metal printing and works on methods for the precise control of melting processes, which are used primarily in aerospace and energy applications.
For the board of directors, two parallel programs titled “Incentive Program C 2025/2028” and “Incentive Program D 2025/2028” were approved. Together, they include up to 943,778 options and can increase the company’s share capital by a maximum of 47,188.90 kronor. The programs are based on a proposal by the Industrifonden foundation, a long-standing investor in the Swedish technology and industrial sector.
With these new participation programs, Freemelt aims to align the interests of executives and employees more closely with the company’s goals. Observers see this as a sign of the growing professionalization of young 3D printing companies that are striving for both technological innovation and economic stability in a highly competitive market.
