Following the anticipated release of Fallout 4, fans can now 3D print their own wrist-worn Pip-Boy 3000 Mark IV, worn by the game’s main character.
The case paired with a smartphone and the app, allows players to control the in-gamer version. As the special edition of the Pip-Boy was sold out almost instantly, mechanical engineer Yvo de Haas of Ytec3D created a custom 3D printable model of the case and shared it with the community.
“Designing the Pip-Boy was the natural thing to do after Fallout 4 was announced,” Yvo told 3D Hubs. “There were (and still are) many people designing it, but I was one of the first to come with a fully finished design.”
The design files for 3D printing are currently available through 3D Hubs and My Mini Factory.
