At this year’s Formnext in Frankfurt, Henkel is presenting its latest developments in the field of 3D printing materials. The company is expanding its portfolio with a high-performance resin and a new material solution for medical applications that are specifically tailored to the diverse requirements of industry and medical technology.
Henkel offers a wide range of advanced materials for 3D printing that can be used from rapid prototyping to large-scale production. With its latest products, the company aims to increase safety, open up new applications and make 3D printing accessible to a wider user base. One example of this is Loctite 3D IND6845, which has been specially developed for industrial applications. This resin enables efficient use on various printer systems at wavelengths of 385 nm and 405 nm. It is also TPO-free, which improves the occupational safety profile. Loctite 3D IND6845 offers an optimal combination of impact strength, elongation at break and heat deflection temperature (HDT), making it ideal for use in industrial production.
Another highlight is the recently launched Loctite 3D MED3394, which was designed for medical applications. This material can withstand multiple sterilization processes without loss of function and meets the strict biocompatibility standards ISO 10993-5, -10, -11 and -23 as well as USP Class VI certification. In addition, MED3394 is characterized by excellent chemical resistance and high printing accuracy, making it a reliable choice for the production of medical components.
“We are continuously expanding our portfolio of 3D printing materials with the goal of providing reliable, high-performance solutions tailored to our customers’ needs,” said Dr. Daniel Adams, Vice President at Henkel Loctite 3D Printing. “We look forward to showcasing our latest developments at Formnext and engaging with customers and partners.”
The new materials will be presented at Formnext from November 19 to 22 at booth 11.1 E29. Henkel is using the trade fair to demonstrate its innovative strength in the field of additive manufacturing and to promote dialog with trade visitors.
