How IMES3D makes 3D printing accessible to industry

IMES3D has established itself as one of the leading service providers for 3D printing and additive manufacturing. With over 60 UltiMaker 3D printers and more than ten years of experience, IMES3D offers professional support for industries such as automotive, medical technology, food and electronics. The company covers both prototyping and series production and supports customers in the selection, implementation and optimization of 3D printing solutions.

A particular focus is on processing various materials that meet specific industrial requirements. In addition to common plastics such as PLA, ABS and TPU, IMES3D also prints components from advanced materials such as carbon fiber-reinforced nylon, which is suitable for high mechanical loads. For the food industry, the company offers FDA-compliant materials, while ESD-safe and flame-retardant plastics are used in the electronics industry.

With the recently launched UltiMaker Factor 4, IMES3D is adding new possibilities to its range. The printer’s direct material feed allows the processing of flexible materials that are suitable for applications such as impact protection or surfaces with a high grip. Thanks to an actively controlled build chamber climate and high-temperature print cores, high-strength materials such as PPS CF can also be processed. These materials are robust enough to replace metal parts, but are lighter and faster to produce, making them ideal for individual small series.

To manage its printer fleet, IMES3D uses the Digital Factory platform, which enables efficient use of resources. This technology helps to plan maintenance, monitor print jobs and optimize production times. Customers can set up their own printer fleets and digital model catalogs with the support of IMES3D, facilitating collaboration across different locations.
