The Chinese technology company Tencent has presented Hunyuan3D, an interesting AI model that can create a 3D model from photos and text commands. Unlike other projects, the Chinese company is making the project available free of charge and openly.
A few days ago, Tencent presented the Hunyuan3D 2.0 model. The company, which is known for the WeChat chat service, is making the model available free of charge and has published further information on GitHub and in a paper. The AI tool can be tested completely free of charge on the Huggingface portal.
It is also possible to use Hunyuan3D locally on your own computer. Via pinokio.computer, for example, it is possible to install the model with just a few clicks. Installation and use is at your own risk.
