Interspectral and EOS continue their partnership to further develop quality assurance in additive manufacturing (AM). The partnership centers on the integration of Interspectral’s AM Explorer software with the EOS M 290, M 300-4 and M 400 systems, providing users with enhanced process monitoring and data analysis capabilities to improve the efficiency and sustainability of manufacturing processes.
The collaboration seamlessly connects AM Explorer with EOSCONNECT, an open platform for data management. This enables real-time monitoring and comprehensive analysis of production processes via a single user interface. AM Explorer’s features, which focus on detection, visualization and analysis, provide manufacturers with an end-to-end solution to optimize the entire production cycle.
Isabelle Hachette, CEO of Interspectral, commented, “We see great synergies between Interspectral and EOS. Our combined technologies, particularly EOS’s Smart Fusion and AM Explorer, score high on sustainability ratings by optimizing resource use throughout the entire print process. This partnership empowers customers to achieve greater precision while reducing waste, furthering sustainability efforts in the AM industry.”
As part of the collaboration, the effect of the technologies on the production of a complex combustion component for space propulsion systems is currently being investigated. Interested parties can find out more about the demonstration at the Interspectral and EOS stands in Hall 11.1 at the trade fair.
Mirco Schöpf, Product Line Manager Software at EOS, also expressed his support for the collaboration, stating, “This partnership with Interspectral marks a major step forward in AM quality assurance. The integration of AM Explorer is possible due to our open data interfaces and works seamlessly, enabling our customers to streamline processes and benefit from unparalleled insights into their additive manufacturing operations.”
With this partnership, Interspectral and EOS aim to advance additive manufacturing from small series to high-volume production and thus further expand the possibilities of the technology.
