The Stratasys subsidiary iSQUARED has expanded its portfolio to include specially validated materials for Stratasys 3D printers and has also launched a platform for used machines. These measures support Stratasys’ OpenAM approach, which offers users more flexibility in material selection and thus enables new applications.
The new material offering, known as “iSQUARED Validated Materials”, is aimed at niche markets that require special properties, colors or small quantities. The focus is on industries such as aerospace, automotive and medical technology. The materials have been specially optimized for the Stratasys product range to ensure maximum reliability and performance.
As part of the OpenAM approach, users can precisely control the printing parameters, including temperature, movement and scaling. This allows fine-tuning of the printing process and opens up new possibilities for application-specific solutions. However, iSQUARED’s innovations go beyond Stratasys devices and also support other additive manufacturing platforms.
Jan Michael Stepper, General Manager of iSQUARED, explains: “Our goal is to provide materials that are tailored to the specific requirements of our customers. This flexibility and speed drives innovation and strengthens additive manufacturing in various industries.”
In addition to the material portfolio, iSQUARED is introducing a platform for used Stratasys 3D printers. This offering promotes sustainability by repurposing used equipment and thus extending the life cycle of the machines. The initiative is part of the Stratasys Mindful Manufacturing strategy, which aims to conserve resources and promote a circular economy. It enables companies to enter into high-quality 3D printing solutions at a low cost.
Rich Garrity, Chief Business Unit Officer at Stratasys, emphasizes: “With these measures, we are creating tailor-made solutions that meet both commercial and technical requirements. The expanded material options and the platform for used printers offer our customers real added value.”
