
JUNO.AM is expanding its additive manufacturing resources in Borgo Panigale and installing a Carbon M3 Max. The system comes directly from Carbon USA and is part of an extended five-year cooperation; at the same time, the company is strengthening its role in the Carbon Production Network. According to the company, this is the first M3 Max installation in Italy. The goal is to produce functional end-use parts and larger components from Carbon’s polymer portfolio.
Technically, the M3 Max relies on Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) with an expanded build volume of 307 × 163 × 326 mm. A new generation of thermal and optical control is intended to enable isotropic part quality and repeatable results—outcomes that conventional SLA or DLP workflows often only achieve in serial environments with additional process control. In addition to EPX for load-bearing structural applications, the system supports RPU/EPU materials as well as silicone-like materials (SIL), allowing both rigid and elastomeric parts within the same technology stack. The M3 Max complements an existing Carbon M2, thereby increasing DLS capacity for larger components and small to medium series.
The DLS systems are embedded in a broader machine setup. On site, JUNO.AM also operates HP’s Multi Jet Fusion 5620 as well as Stratasys systems for PolyJet and FDM. For metal parts, LPBF process chains with stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium are available. This enables the company to address complete workflows from function-near validation through industrialization, including material qualification and part approvals for sectors such as automotive, medical technology, aerospace, fashion/footwear, sporting goods, and packaging automation.

For users, the expansion means shorter iteration cycles, larger part dimensions in the DLS process, and consistent properties across batches.
