LACE by Jenny Wu presents 3D printed jewelry bracelets

LACE by Jenny Wu collaborates with 3D printing company 3DEO to introduce the new Link bracelet. The new 3D printed bracelet is made possible with Intelligent Layering technology developed by 3DEO. A unique feature of the jewelry is that the links of the chain can be connected to each other through 3D printing technology without the need for additional hardware, hinges or connectors. Since each link is an independent part, it can be customized in both size and design.

LA-based 3DEO is an award-winning design, engineering and manufacturing firm that specializes in small metal components produced in high volume. Their next generation 3D printing platform is powered by Intelligent Layering, a patented technology that combines 3D printing with CNC milling to achieve unprecedented intricacy and complexity. This type of precision was not possible until now, making Link the first commercial jewelry design that has ever been produced with this premier technology.

“This collaboration has been several years in the making,” LACE founder, Jenny Wu, explains. “I’m especially excited because 3DEO’s innovative technology allows me to produce an interlocking chain that I have not been able to do previously directly with 3D printing.”

The chunky chain link bracelet has been an eye catching trend for the past year. LACE seeks to create new unique variations to this new classic. Link is produced from stainless steel 17-4PH which boasts high strength and corrosive resistance. It’s a material that has been used extensively in aerospace and medical industries. At its launch, Link will be offered in 3 finishes, matte, polished, and black oxide, with new finishes to follow later this year. This unisex bracelet can be adjusted to fit all wrist sizes, as the links can be easily removed or added. With presale starting on January 24, Link will ship on February 6th, just in time for Valentine’s Day delivery.

“3DEO is thrilled to be partnering with LACE and Jenny Wu on this high quality, first edition chain link bracelet,” says 3DEO President and Co-founder Matt Sand. “By partnering with 3DEO, Jenny and her team were able to take advantage of the end-to-end services that 3DEO offers: ideation and design, prototyping, and production manufacturing. We’re excited to help bring this fresh and unique product to launch.”
