Link3D Announces Collaboration with EOS GmbH: Streamline EOS Internal AM Workflows with EOS Machine Connectivity

Link3D, the leader in Additive MES & workflow software, is excited to announce that it will be expanding its partnership with EOS GmBH, a global technology leader for high-end industrial systems in additive manufacturing for metal and polymer materials.

This is an expansion from earlier last year when EOS North America announced its implementation of Link3D. By centralizing AM workflows globally, EOS will be able to track and trace in real-time all benchmark requests, scheduled jobs and post-production quality data across Krailing, Pflugerville and Novi. With end-to-end AM workflow software, EOS can review key metrics to identify new opportunities that will enable new market developments, cost and production management control at both a facility and on a global level.

“We are proud to have Link3D as one of our software partners for streamlining our facilities with AM MES & workflow software to connect the Digital Thread”, shares Patrick Schrade, Head of Application Engineering from EOS GmBH.

Through this strategic partnership, Link3D and EOS will allow: 1) Customers to tour the EOS benchmarking facility and evaluate AM workflows to streamline EOS production, and 2) Customers to take advantage of EOS machine connectivity that will be integrated with Link3D’s scheduling software for real-time and in-process monitoring of the build environment for quality management.

This provides an excellent opportunity for EOS customers to understand how AM workflow processes can be flexible to support businesses with few printers up to managing distributed manufacturing models. Link3D Additive MES enables users to visualize their AM workflows from order submission to delivery. This connects all sites digitally thus improving end-to-end transparency, reducing turnaround times and offering a superior customer experience. This ties well into EOS’ holistic solution for AM and empowers customers to understand the true potential of additive manufacturing for production.

“Our machine connectivity program with EOS will enhance Link3D’s Production Scheduling software,” shares Vishal Singh, Co-Founder & CTO of Link3D, “With real-time monitoring, EOS customers can perform real-time capacity planning. In-Process Monitoring integrated with a quality management systems will help businesses automate the validation of fixed workflow process requirements across EOS production systems.”

With machine connectivity, users can perform real-time machine monitoring through a centralized machine scheduling system to identify when the build is on, off or help is required to resolve errors. Organizations can also opt-in for “In-Process Monitoring” to help businesses seamlessly capture and validate workflows. This ensures quality data follows customer regulatory requirements for AS9100, ISO9001, ITAR, SAE, EN:13485 and others. This software will give both EOS and EOS customers a scalable solution for their internal AM workflow processes.

“EOS has a rich and deep history in the additive manufacturing space, and Link3D is proud to have been selected as their internal workflow and MES solution.” says Shane Fox, Co-founder and CEO of Link3D, “The collaboration will enhance Link3D’s software technology around series production for AM. Together Link3D and EOS will deliver optimal workflow and MES capabilities to our current and future customer base.”
