New York-based toy design company Locknesters has released the first creation of their new series of 3D printed puzzle toys.
We have first reported on Locknesters back in October 2014, when the company unveiled their first 3D printed puzzles by designer Fleet Hower and 3D Hubs. Just like the other designs, the 3D printed puzzle bear can be a fun children’s toy as well as a great addition to your office desk.
Created in the company’s Brooklyn headquarters using 3D printing technology, the 3D jigsaw puzzles can be taken apart and assembled. Following the 3D design and printing process, the designer toys made from non-toxic plastic are smoothed through a series of methods, including sanding, tumbling and buffing. This allows for obtaining a distinct coloration, making each Locknester unique.
Currently available is the Bear, consisting of 5 pieces, with the 21 pieces T-Rex and the 27 pieces Pup following soon.
