Magigoo Glide Kit and Supergrip: New solutions for initial adhesion in 3D printing operations

With the growing use of FDM printers in professional and semi-professional environments, the requirements for reliable and efficient work processes are also increasing. Thought3D, a Malta-based company specializing in materials, has introduced two new products under the Magigoo brand that are specifically designed to facilitate initial adhesion in 3D printing: the Magigoo Glide Kit and Magigoo Supergrip.

The Glide Kit particularly addresses the time-consuming and error-prone application of adhesives to the printing platform. It consists of a large-volume applicator bottle containing 250 ml and a specially developed roller that applies the adhesive evenly.

At the same time, Supergrip offers a new adhesive formulation that adheres particularly effectively to modern print bed surfaces such as PEI, PC or textured plates. In extensive tests on over a dozen printer types and twelve different surfaces, the solution was able to demonstrate consistent adhesion for materials such as PLA, PETG, TPU and ASA. The water-based formulation is easy to clean and protects the printing plate from wear.

“As the 3D printing landscape evolves, we’ve made it our mission to evolve with it,” said Edward Borg, co-founder of Thought3D. “Glide and Supergrip are the result of conversations with users, pain points observed in print farms, and rigorous in-house testing. I’m incredibly proud of what the team has achieved — these are tools designed not just for today’s makers, but for the future of additive manufacturing.”
