Materialise Collaborates with Lima Corporate on 3D Printed Surgical Guides

Recently having signed an agreement with Japan Medical Dynamic Marketing for their proprietary Total Hip Replacement system, Materialise has now announced their collaboration with Lima Corporate to further expand in Europe.

Based in Italy, Lima is a global medical device company, that provides reconstructive orthopaedic solutions. The company will provide surgeons throughout the EEA region and Switzerland with Materialise’s 3D planning software and 3D printed surgical guides for partial knee implants.

Jeroen Dille, Director of Materialise’s Clinical Unit, said: “Materialise first pioneered medical image based guide technology, including solutions for the knee, as part of our company-wide mission to realize a better and healthier world through meaningful applications of 3D printing. Through this collaboration with Lima, orthopedic surgeons will be able to benefit from the advantages that 3D printing can offer in the planning and execution of partial knee arthroplasty.”
