i.materialise Now Offers Aluminium

Yesterday the Belgien 3D printing service provider i.materialise added a new material to their portfolio – aluminium.

Now i.materialise offers 21 different materials and over 100 ways that these materials can be finished. To produce solid objects with aluminum i.materialise uses direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) technology.

With aluminum you can produce strong, light and precise metal objects. The smallest details can be up to 0,25mm and the minimum wall thickness can be 0,5mm but the service provider recommends 1mm thick walls for larger structures. The maximum size that i.materialise offers for aluminium parts is 250x250x295mm.
