Materialise Teams Up with Microsoft for Cloud-Based 3D Printing Solution

3D printing company Materialise has collaborated with Microsoft to streamline the 3D printing experience for Windows users in the coming weeks.

Users of Microsoft 3D Builder and other Windows 3D printing platform apps will be able to directly order 3D prints of their models from i.materialise, choosing from 20 different materials over 100 possible colour and finish combinations. The online platform is powered by the Materialise Magics 3D Print Suite.

Materialise CTO, Bart Van der Schueren said: “Our 3D printing technology is the connective backbone for so many valuable applications, and together with our i.materialise consumer platform, we aim to give more consumers, home professionals and small businesses access to our wide range of in-house 3D printing technology, optimized by our innovative software. Today, we are excited to be collaborating with Microsoft to expand the reach of the benefits of professional, high-quality 3D Printing to an even greater audience.”
