Metal 3D printing specialist Meltio has announced that French company ACNS has become the first official integrator of the Meltio Engine Blue in France. This partnership aims to further promote hybrid manufacturing solutions and robotic metal 3D printing in industrial applications. Multistation, Meltio’s distribution partner in France, will support ACNS in the implementation of the technology.
Founded in 1993, ACNS specializes in the development, renovation and integration of industrial machines and numerical control systems. With more than 900 projects completed, the company is a recognized player in the fields of automation, robotics and industrial data networking. The integration of the Meltio Engine Blue into vertical machining centers and industrial robotic arms with the Meltio Engine Integration Kit is intended to expand the possibilities of metal 3D printing in France.
“We are glad to start this partnership with Meltio and integrate the revolutionary Meltio Engine Blue on CNC and robots for the benefit of French industry. We are impressed by the efficiency of the system and think it’s a real breakthrough, enabling non-experts to quickly acquire a good command of printing a wide range of metals. We target to expand quickly our WLAM offer and the market in France, and we are committed to designing meaningful, smart, and ergonomic machines for our customers. We trust there is a strong business case for repairing parts, adding function to existing parts, or building quickly one-off parts. Our comprehensive mastering of CNC and robots secures our customers’ innovative projects”, said Emmanuel Mignot, CEO at ACNS.
The Meltio Engine Blue uses the Wire Laser Metal Additive Manufacturing (WLAM) process, in which welding wire is used as the material. The process is based on the precise deposition of welding beads in a laser-generated molten pool. Welding wire is one of the most cost-effective and safest metal resources for additive manufacturing and enables broad material compatibility. The technology can be used to manufacture new components as well as to repair or optimize the function of existing components.
“We are thrilled to be working with ACNS and Multistation in the French market, as this collaboration between us serves as a great indicator of how Meltio’s partner ecosystem is evolving. Together we will be able to cater to the ever-growing interest in Meltio’s technology and its applications. As well as by leveraging ACNS knowledge, we will be able to further develop the adoption of Meltio’s unique wire-laser metal additive manufacturing for different industries”, said Francisco González, Head of EMEA at Meltio.
The increasing demand for metal 3D printing solutions will be specifically addressed by the cooperation and new areas of application for wire laser additive manufacturing will be opened up.
