Metal 3D Printing Company Sinterex Opens Facility in UAE

Sinterex, a company providing metal additive manufacturing services in the Middle East, has announced the opening of a new facility in Ras al-Khamah, a city in the UAE near Dubai.

The company founded by consultant Julian Callanan, Dr. Alaa Elwany and Dr. Paul Smith is the first to provide metal 3D printing services in the UAE and will focus on the energy and manufacturing industry as well as the aviation sector in the region.

“In the current slow economic and low oil price environment companies are under increasing pressure to identify areas for cost reduction and value enhancement,” said Technical Director Dr. Elwany.

Besides manufacturing services, Sinterex offers consultancy and market research and works closely with its customers to support them in introducing metal 3D printing in their processes. Therefore, a proprietary commercial viability screening framework had been developed that allows clients to test whether the metal products or parts they currently use are applicable for 3D printing.
