The Austrian 3D printing specialist M&H has announced a strategic partnership with the US materials manufacturer California Metals. The aim of the collaboration is to integrate environmentally friendly metal alloys into additive manufacturing processes for high-performance applications. The cooperation includes materials such as aluminum, steel and titanium, which are manufactured in compliance with strict environmental standards and are characterized by particularly low emission values during production.
As part of the partnership, M&H is initially planning to use these materials for prototype construction in the aerospace sector. In the future, applications in motorsport and other industries in which weight, strength and thermal properties play a key role are to follow.
“This cooperation allows us to use materials that have been manufactured in accordance with the strictest environmental standards. In combination with our 3D printing expertise, we will further reduce material consumption and waste – a decisive factor for sustainable high-tech production. This makes our supply chain even more environmentally friendly and reduces our ecological footprint – a fact that is becoming increasingly important on the market,” emphasizes M&H Managing Director Patrick Herzig.
“M&H has made a name for itself internationally as a 3D printing pioneer. Especially in racing and in the high-end segment, where quality and innovation are crucial. This partnership brings together two companies with the same goal: to make additive manufacturing and metal processing more sustainable and efficient,” explains California Metals CEO Michael Resl.
This is not M&H’s first expansion into the North American market. The company has been supplying customers in the process and pressure equipment industry since the end of 2023. The partnership now agreed with California Metals is a further step towards expanding its international influence in the field of sustainable, additive metal processing.
