micro factory presents revised version of the fully automated SLA 3D printer at Formnext 2024

Munich-based startup micro factory 3DSolutions GmbH proudly announces its participation in this year’s Formnext 2024, the leading international trade fair for additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing. The focus of the presentation will be the market-ready version of their fully automated SLA 3D printer, which integrates the entire stereolithography process from printing to post-curing.

Since the first presentation at Formnext 2023, micro factory has significantly developed its technology. The latest version of the printer impresses with even greater efficiency, user-friendliness and various small improvements in mechanics and software. The aim is to produce custom-made dental models, molds and hearing aid housings with minimum effort and maximum precision.

The printer offers complete automation of the MSLA process, handling the printing, cleaning and curing of the parts in one continuous, closed chain. This not only minimizes user contact with the resin, but also maximizes safety and hygiene in sensitive laboratory environments such as those required in the dental and audiology industries. Thanks to strategic pilot partnerships, various materials have already been successfully tested and validated against real customer requirements.

This enables precise, reproducible production with a high degree of flexibility in the use of materials. Efficiency and precision in a compact format Despite its powerful features, the printer remains a compact desktop system that is particularly effective in environments with limited space. This is micro factory’s response to the requirements of laboratories that need reliable and cost-efficient production with increasing quantities.

“With this new version of our printer, we now have a system that also meets the high demands of the dental industry and we are very much looking forward to demonstrating it live on site,” explains Alexander Stieren, COO of micro factory. “The complete automation and broad material compatibility enable us to drastically reduce the workload in laboratories and improve the quality of the products at the same time. We are convinced that our solution will revolutionize the everyday work of dental technicians and hearing aid acousticians.”
