The French company Microlight3D, specialized in high-precision micro and nano printing systems, has announced a strategic partnership with Eden Tech. The aim of the collaboration is to combine the Smart Print UV maskless lithography platform with the FLUI’DEVICE microfluidics software to significantly accelerate the development process of microfluidic components.

Smart Print UV technology enables the direct production of any 2D structures with micrometer-precise resolution without the need for conventional lithography masks. In combination with FLUI’DEVICE, an intuitive software for the design of microchannels and fluidic architectures, the design process can be shortened by up to 90 percent compared to conventional CAD tools. This enables both research institutions and industrial users to produce functional prototypes in a significantly shorter time.

“Microlight3D is excited to partner with Eden Tech, a recognized leader in microfluidics, to bring groundbreaking innovations to the healthcare and research sectors,” said Denis Barbier, CEO of Microlight3D. “We are now able to offer customers worldwide a solution for quickly and easily creating high-precision microfluidic designs compatible with the formats used by our machines. This will enable our users to integrate this tool into their current workflow, while streamlining the steps involved.”

Microfluidic systems are used in areas such as medical diagnostics, drug release and point-of-care tests. They enable the precise control of minute quantities of liquid and therefore require particularly precise manufacturing techniques.

“We believe that this partnership will set a new benchmark in the field of microfluidics,” said Victor Morel Cahoreau, head of sales at Eden Tech. “With healthcare systems and research laboratories increasingly seeking efficient and reliable microfluidic devices, the demand for solutions that integrate precision, scalability and cost-effectiveness has never been greater. This partnership directly addresses these needs by offering solutions that streamline production processes and reduce time-to-market for critical healthcare technologies.”

Eden Tech also sees the collaboration as an important step towards improving the accessibility of microfluidic technologies. The modular structure of the software also leaves sufficient scope for customer-specific adaptations.
