Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Mingda has unveiled the MD-1000 Pro model, a 3D printer for extra-large components. According to the manufacturer, the industrial printer is designed to enable full-scale functional prototypes, tool molds and end products.
The MD-1000 Pro offers a print volume of 1 cubic meter (1000x1000x1000mm). According to Mingda, this means that even larger individual parts can be produced in one piece without having to divide them into several segments. The manufacturer names designers, engineers and manufacturing companies as the target group.
Mingda promises precision and reliability thanks to high-quality linear guides in all axes. Automatic levelling of the print bed is also intended to ensure consistent results. Another feature is the integrated, uninterruptible power supply, which can continue the printing process in the same place after a power failure.
According to the data sheet, the MD-1000 Pro achieves a positioning accuracy of 0.015 mm in the XY plane. In the Z-axis, 0.0015625 mm is possible. Mingda specifies a maximum printing speed of 200 mm/s. The printer also has a heated printing chamber. Compatible filaments PLA, ABS, ASA, TPU, PETG, PETG-ESD, PET-GF, PET-CF, PA12-CF, HtPA-GF and HtPA-CF. The nozzle temperature is up to a maximum of 350 degrees.
