Indian software company Samisan Tech has entered into an exclusive partnership with UK-based consultancy FIG 3D to bring its additive manufacturing platform MIRA3D to the UK market. Under the agreement, FIG 3D will not only handle sales, but also implementation, training and technical support for UK companies in sectors such as aerospace, medical technology, jewelry manufacturing and industrial tooling.
MIRA3D is a modular software solution developed specifically for the requirements of industrial 3D printing processes. Key features include automatic part alignment, generative support structure creation, repair of faulty meshes, real-time wall thickness analysis and a scan-to-CAD comparison tool. The aim is to reduce reject rates, shorten iteration cycles and minimize post-processing work.
“Our goal has always been to simplify complex processes in AM and make them accessible to a broader range of manufacturers,” said Mohit Kumar, CEO of Samisan Tech. “FIG 3D’s deep industry connections and application-first mindset make them the perfect partner to implement MIRA3D where it matters most, on the factory floor.”
As a local partner, FIG 3D brings extensive industry knowledge as well as a strong operational presence in manufacturing facilities.
“We’re excited to bring this game-changing solution to UK manufacturers,” said Mark Pinder, CEO of FIG 3D. “MIRA3D’s intelligent tools, paired with our local expertise, mean faster time- to-print, smarter support, and a truly user-first experience.”
“Too often, manufacturers are forced to adapt their process to the limitations of generic software,” said Andrew Allshorn, Director of Technology Solutions at FIG 3D. “MIRA3D flips that script. It’s engineered to adapt to the user, and with our close collaboration, we can ensure every UK client receives a solution that fits not just functionally, but strategically.”
The partnership thus takes an application-centric approach that clearly sets it apart from generic AM software solutions. Companies receive a solution that adapts to their processes – not the other way around. With this strategy, both partners want to strengthen the competitiveness of British manufacturers in the field of additive manufacturing.
