Multiextruder NPr2

The Italian company 3DMakerLab, founded by Nicola Patucelli, introduced their Multiextruder NPr2 at the Maker Fair in Rome last weekend.

The FDM 3D printer extruder will be able to print in up to 6 colours per object and is based on the Prusa I3 extruders. The prototype introduced at the Maker Fair can print in up to 4 different colours at the moment. Patucelli wants to release the final version by the end of this year. Currently he is working with an Italian software company to develop a slicing software capable of controlling a multi-color extruder with one hot end. The custom G-code it is printing at the moment with is not very efficient according to him.
