Nano Dimension DragonFly LDM: uninterrupted electronic printing

Israel-based company Nano Dimension launched the new DragonFly Lights-Out Digital Manufacturing (LDM) system that enables 24/7 electronics printing. The system builds on the established PCB 3D printing process already used in the DragonFly Pro and improves continuous production, the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and the workflow. The printer comes with a new print head software management system, an automated, self-cleaning print head, and a real-time automatic material monitoring system.

The company aims to unlock opportunities for low-volume manufacturing of multilayer PCBs, capacitors, coils, sensors, antennas, and other electronic applications. The first DragonFly LDM was recently installed at the Munich-based HENSOLDT company to produce sensor and defense electronics. The company reported higher print times of about 40%.

The new system is already available and also comes as an upgrade to existing Nano Dimension customers.
