Nano Dimension introduces the Exa 250vx micro 3D printer

The Israeli 3D printer manufacturer Nano Dimension presented the Exa 250vx at this year’s Formnext in Frankfurt. The Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D printer was specially developed for the production of high-precision micro parts with increased productivity. Target markets include electronics, medical technology and jewelry manufacturing, where maximum precision is required.

The Exa 250vx is based on the knowledge gained from Nano Dimension’s existing Fabrica Tera and Fabrica Giga systems and offers an industrial solution that combines precision and efficiency. With an increased build volume of 100 mm x 100 mm x 70 mm, it outperforms previous systems that were limited to 50 mm build volume. The high XY resolution of 7.6 micrometers and a layer thickness of only 10 micrometers make it possible to produce detailed components with smooth surfaces. Such features make the Exa 250vx ideal for the production of components such as electronic connectors, microneedles for medical devices or intricate jewelry.

The printer uses resin-based DLP technology and is compatible with Nano Dimension’s own range of materials, including the robust D-810 resin. This durable and structurally strong material solution has been specially developed for the production of long-lasting micro parts. In addition, the printer’s open system architecture supports the integration of third-party resins, giving users greater flexibility for specific engineering requirements.

Nir Sade, Senior Vice President for Additive Manufacturing at Nano Dimension, emphasized the importance of the new system. “Most micro manufacturers face the dilemma of prioritizing either precision or speed. The Exa 250vx removes these constraints and meets the demands of high production volumes without compromising on detail.”
