The company called 3DSimo is about to launch a new 3D printing pen on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.
May 19, 2015: After their not fully funded campaign for a larger 3D printing pen on Indiegogo back in 2013, 3DSimo, however, was still able to bring the device to the market. Following the development of the much smaller and sleeker version called 3DSimo Mini, the company is now ready for its funding campaign to be launched on Kickstarter on June 23rd.
3DSimo Mini comes with a whole series of interchangeable tips, allowing users to work with several materials such as plastic, metal, wood, leather and foam.

June 24, 2015: Update – 3DSimo Mini launches on Kickstarter
3DSimo has just launched its Kickstarter campaign for their smaller version of the multi tool 3D printing pen. The “ultimate creator’s tool” features multiple exchangeable tips, which allow for 3D printing, burning, cutting and even soldering.
There are a vast range of materials that can be used with the 3D printing pen, thanks to adjustable temperature and speed: Laybrick, ABS, PLA, PETG, HIPS, FLEXI, Laywood, Thermochrome and Flourescent.
Additionally, the company has developed a mobile app, giving users control over temperature and speed. The free app will be available for iOS and Android and connects via Bluetooth. The 3D Simo app will also feature instructional Videos and templates.
