NUBURU Delivers first Parts as Part of Cooperation with 3D Printer Manufacturer Essentium

NUBURU, a specialist in industrial blue laser technology, announced that several devices have been delivered to 3D printer manufacturer Essentium.

This is the first step in a multi-year agreement, announced in May 2022, to develop and manufacture a metal AM platform based on blue lasers.

Essentium has already begun integrating NUBURU’s proprietary blue laser technology into its high-speed extrusion 3D printing (HSETM) technology. This AM platform aims to enable significant advances in part quality and production rates, particularly in sectors such as automotive, aerospace and defense.

Dr. Mark Zediker, CEO and Co-Founder of NUBURU, said, “We are excited to have delivered our first units to Essentium, and we look forward to delivering additional units over the course of 2023 and the coming years.”

Essentium has launched the EPOD (Essentium Parts on Demand) production service, which leverages HSETM technology to enable rapid, cost-effective high-volume production. NUBURU is pleased to support Essentium’s growth.

“NUBURU’s unparalleled expertise and leadership in blue laser technology have been instrumental in advancing our cutting-edge 3D printing platform. The arrival of the latest units this year and our partnership with NUBURU will help us continue to drive innovation in the AM industry,” said Elisa Teipel, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Essentium.
