The German company One Click Metal and the Indian provider Altem Technologies have agreed on a partnership to make metal 3D printing systems more accessible to small and medium-sized companies and research institutions in India. The aim of the collaboration is to provide scalable and economically viable solutions in the field of powder-based laser melting and thus strengthen additive manufacturing in the Indian industry.
Martin Heller, Global Sales Director at One Click Metal, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: „Collaborating with Altem Technologies aligns with our mission to democratize metal 3D printing. Their deep understanding of the Indian market and commitment to customer success make them an ideal partner as we expand our global footprint.“
At the center of the collaboration is One Click Metal’s BOLDseries, a Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) system designed for ease of use through modular design, closed powder handling and integrated software control. Altem Technologies is contributing its many years of experience in the sale of additive manufacturing systems and its knowledge of the Indian market. The combination of technical infrastructure and local service offering is intended to support companies that were previously excluded from metal 3D printing due to high barriers to entry.
Abhishek Kalra, Associate Vice President (Digital Manufacturing) at Altem Technologies, commented on the strategic alliance: „Partnering with One Click Metal enables us to offer cutting-edge metal 3D printing solutions to our clients. This collaboration will empower Indian manufacturers to innovate and enhance their production capabilities, keeping pace with global advancements in additive manufacturing.“
The Indian market is considered a significant growth area for additive processes due to increasing industrialization and growing investment in digital manufacturing technologies. The collaboration between One Click Metal and Altem Technologies thus addresses a specific need for affordable, industrial-grade 3D printing solutions in the metal sector.
