One Hundred Tokyo – Japans 3D Printed Capital Hits Kickstarter

The Japanese 3D printing service iJet started a Kickstarter campaign for an art project to 3D print Tokyo.

With your investment of around 100$ you get one pice of the 3D printed Tokyo and also support the production of the hole project. The art will consist of one hundred 100x100mm pieces to form a huge 1000x1000mm reproduction of the Japanese capital.

The city is 3D printed with full colour 3D printers out of sandstone. After the 3D printing process magnets are inserted into the edges to make it easy to combine the single pieces.

You can get one piece of Tokyo for just 100$, nine parts for 790$  or the hole city for nearly 9.000$.
