Optimized CAD data reduction with 3D_Evolution Simplifier 4.8

The Franco-German software company CoreTechnologie has released the latest version of 3D_Evolution Simplifier. The software offers extended functions for the automated generation of envelope geometries and optimizes the preparation of CAD data for simulations, digital twins and product catalogs. Version 4.8 SP1 particularly improves efficiency and accuracy when reducing complex 3D models.

A key innovation is the automated extraction and rule-based naming of components and sub-assemblies. This allows CAD models to be prepared for various applications without time-consuming manual post-processing. This is particularly beneficial for digital catalogs and simulation software, as models can be adapted to the respective application with a high level of detail without affecting the overall structure.

In addition, the software improves the protection of design data by reducing it to essential external geometries. Internal geometries are removed to protect sensitive information and at the same time increase the performance of CAD, virtual reality and digital mock-up applications. Functions such as shrinkwrap technology only filter components visible from the outside, while the balloon function enables the targeted selection of components visible from the inside. This facilitates automatic data preparation and saves considerable time.

Another advantage is the seamless conversion between 36 different CAD formats, including Catia, NX, Creo, Solidworks, Inventor and JT. This enables flexible integration into different system environments and simplifies data exchange between different platforms.

The new version also improves the processing of large assemblies for digital twins and simulations. Complex CAD models can be converted into functional structures with just a few clicks, simplifying the planning of virtual factories and product developments.
