Phasio and CoreTechnologie Connect Order Management and 3D Printing Software for Seamless Workflows

The integration of the 3D printing software 4D_Additive into the manufacturing platform Phasio now enables a fully automated process chain in additive manufacturing. According to the developers, the direct transfer of all production data reduces preparation time per print job by up to 60 percent. The new interface is based on the 4dam data format, implemented in version 1.7 of 4D_Additive.

The German-French company CoreTechnologie, developer of the 4D_Additive software, is working closely with the platform provider Phasio. While Phasio covers the entire process from quotation calculation to order planning, 4D_Additive handles the technical preparation of the build jobs. Through the new integration, CAD models can be transferred directly from the Phasio system to the 3D printing software, automatically oriented, duplicated, and nested. This eliminates most of the manual steps previously required in data preparation.

After the nesting process is completed, 4D_Additive sends the resulting job data, including part count and positioning, back to Phasio in 3mf format. The bidirectional data exchange minimizes potential sources of error and ensures that any changes or adjustments in order management are immediately reflected in print preparation. According to CoreTechnologie, this reduces scrap rates and enables production processes with high repeatability.

4D_Additive supports all common additive manufacturing processes – including SLS, MJF, SLM, SLA, and FDM – within a unified user interface. In addition to automatic nesting and support structure generation, the software provides tools for model repair, texturing, and the creation of internal lattice structures. With its integration into Phasio, previously separate steps become a closed, digitally controlled workflow that further enhances efficiency and quality in industrial additive manufacturing.
