PostProcess Technologies and Farsoon Technologies have announced a strategic collaboration to optimize Polymer Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) post-processing through automated powder depowdering. This partnership, focused on the European and North American markets, combines Farsoon’s state-of-the-art 3D printing technology with PostProcess’ automated depowdering solutions. The goal is to provide manufacturers with an integrated and efficient workflow that minimizes manual powder removal, reduces production time and increases operational efficiency.
PostProcess’ PREVO 700 depowdering solution is specifically designed for industrial use with the Farsoon 403P and UT501P printers. Through this integration, manufacturers can expect consistent results and shorter production times, enabling faster scaling of manufacturing processes. According to the companies, automated post-processing reduces labor costs by more than 75% and enables over 95% powder recovery.
“We are excited to partner with PostProcess Technologies to deliver an advanced, automated post-processing solution that meets the industry’s growing demand for efficiency, scalability, and reliability in PBF manufacturing,” said Oliver Li, Managing Director of Farsoon Europe. “This collaboration will significantly enhance the productivity of our customers.”
The first successful setup of the PREVO 700 solution will be installed in a European SLS factory in November. The solution will be presented at the Formnext 2024 trade fair in Frankfurt, where representatives from both companies will explain the integrated workflow in more detail.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Farsoon on this groundbreaking automated depowdering solution,” said Jeff Mize, CEO of PostProcess Technologies. “By combining our technologies, we are offering manufacturers a transformative workflow that enhances both productivity and quality. We look forward to showcasing the advantages of this solution at Formnext and continuing to push the boundaries of post-processing automation.”
