Printables now supports opening 3D models in Bambu Studio

Czech 3D printing specialist Prusa Research not only produces 3D printers and the associated software, but is also a leader in 3D model platforms with its Printables portal. Josef Prusa, the founder and CEO of Prusa Research, has announced a practical extension to the platform.

Until now, the 3D models obtained via Printables could be opened directly in the company’s own slicer software PrusaSlicer. Printables has now opened up the function for other software. The platform now also supports the open source slicer OrcaSlicer as well as Ultimaker’s Cura and Bambu Studio from Bambu Labs.

This is Prusa’s way of emphasizing the company’s openness.
