Prodways Launches Industrial SLS 3D Printer under € 100,000 – Signs Partnership with BASF

Unveiled at the Rapid 2016, the ProMaker P1000 is the new Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printer by Prodways available für under € 100,000.

Its development is the result of the acquisition of Norge Systems back in March 2015. The new machine compliments the company’s range of “Prodways powered by Farsoon” SLS 3D printing systems in the industrial segment.

According to the manufacturer the ProMaker P1000 offers excellent thermal stability due to its smart temperature control system. This allows for printing high-resolution items with optimised mechanical properties. Additionally, the system offers a new modular coating system to control powder distribution and create more even layers, regardless of the material used. A built in touch screen allows for easy operation of the system.

While Prodways offers a wide range of materials with high recyclability rates, the ProMaker P1000 is also open to third party materials to advance the innovation and development of new applications.

Additionally, the Groupe Gorgé subsidiary announced that it signed a partnership agreement with BASF, introducing the new PA6 polymer powder to their material portfolio. It can be used for additive manufacturing of functional components with more complex structures and offers similar mechanical resistance, hardness and thermal stability properties as parts produced today in PA6 via traditional injection techniques.
