Prusa Research is offering a new Prusa Academy course that provides a structured introduction and in-depth look at the use of PrusaSlicer. The “PrusaSlicer Masterclass – Beginner to Advanced” course is aimed at both beginners and experienced users. The course is designed to make it easier to use the increasingly complex slicer software.
As open source software, PrusaSlicer is known for its extensive functions, including support optimization, special interface effects such as “Fuzzy Skin” and options for editing models using modifiers and per-object settings. Despite constant improvements to the user interface, the growing range of functions can be a challenge for new users. The new course aims to provide a targeted remedy here.
The course offers a clearly structured learning environment with short text sections, images and videos. Four practical projects demonstrate key functions such as modeling directly in the slicer, merging multiple models and preparing 3D scans for printing. Participants can check their progress with integrated quizzes. Upon successful completion, they receive an official certificate.
According to Prusa Research, the course is intended to be a useful addition to the existing, freely accessible Prusa Knowledge Base. In contrast to pure documentation, the Masterclass offers a systematic, practical approach. All course content can be accessed directly after registration, which enables individual learning at your own pace.
