Prusa Research presented its new Prusa CORE One 3D printer a few weeks ago. The Czech company has now made the STEP and STL models of the side panels of the new Prusa CORE One available online. This allows users to plan and design their own customizations even before the printer is delivered.
The design of the Prusa CORE One places particular emphasis on modularity and creative freedom. The robust metal side panels offer numerous options for attaching holders, organizers or shelves – without any additional screws, as the panels are magnetic. The generous free space on the left-hand side is ideal for such projects and invites you to implement your own ideas.
Prusa deliberately opts for an open architecture: the published STEP and STL files allow users to plan individual extensions precisely and tailor them to their needs. In addition, customizability is enhanced by the optional GPIO hacker board, which can be used to control lighting, motors or other electronic components. This allows users to integrate not only visual but also functional mods to suit their requirements.
The files are available for free download from Printables.
